A Question Answered about Ouija Boards

I got this email today and thought others might find it useful.

The Question: When you start with the Ouija Board (On your site), what do you say?? How do you begin??

My Answer: When I sit at the Ouija Board there is no beginning word to start, it is just on.

The problem when I was learning how, the six months leading up to when it actually worked there was nothing, absolutely nothing I could do to make the stupid thing work. It was horribly frustrating, but I kept trying. I’d sit there and concentrate and meditate and pray for my guide to please, please, please come talk to me. Nothing. Nothing would happen at all.

But, I kept trying.

Now, I sit down and phrase whatever I want to talk about silently in my head and zip, zoom, swoosh, there goes the planchette. There is no sitting politely and reverently asking for my guide to please come talk to me. I know that my guide is always at my side, when I’m sleeping, when I’m driving, when I’m eating, even, Heaven forbid, when I’m sitting on the toilet. No privacy. No privacy at all anymore.

What’s fun about it is that I can do Air Ouija now. I sort of made it up. You don’t need a board or a planchette to make it work. You just sort of imagine the board in front of you and your finger sketches into the air pointing at the invisible letters. For me it’s more useful for Yes and No questions since I can clearly remember where those words are on the board. I sort of forget where the letters are….and I can hear anyway, so I don’t have to see who’s pointing to what to know what it is they are talking about. It’s just a fun and silly thing to do. Make a game of it, but always, always be mature about only asking to speak with your guide.

The stuff you’re going to be hearing in the beginning is going to be strange and off the wall depending on how mature you are, how susceptible you are to superstitious things, how afraid you are of things that go bump in the night and how psychologically well balanced you really are. If you are under a doctor’s care for a psychiatric issue then you do NOT want to do this.

If you make a promise to yourself that you will not be afraid to pay attention to your own psychological growth to include going to see a therapist if it gets to that then you will be okay. Talking to Spirit really pushes your buttons. You will find yourself, whether you want to be there or not, on the fast track of spiritual growth. And spiritual growth includes that your body, both physical and mental be in the best shape you can get to given what you’ve got to work with.

So, be very real and mature about asking for contact with your guide because it will NOT be limited to only the times that you sit there at the Ouija Board. And, once you get things moving with the Ouija Board there is not unmaking the connection with Spirit. You’ve broken through and there ain’t no backing out anymore.

You can find more information about using the Ouija Board at my site Talking to Spirit.

UFO Healing - An Email I Received

Here's an email I got yesterday. I thought it was pretty interesting, so I'm posting it here without any identifying info about the writer.

Question: Have you ever contacted a ufo for a physical healing face to face....
is this possible???

Answer: I've never been in contact with a UFO. However, there are some books out there. Look for books channeled by Mary Margaret Moore who channels Bartholomew who says he is an extra terrestrial being and for Bashar who is channeled by Darryl Anka. Have a look at my site at Talking to Spirit and check out their links:

The healing from other beings is possible from what I've heard, though I've not had any experience with it and I've never actually seen an alien face to face (one of the guides just made a rude joke about people I work with...LOL), but I'm thinking the best results will probably come from your own moves. Live with moderation. Remember to laugh and have fun. Try to handle your stress. Pay attention to your diet. Remember to exercise. Keep being interested in things even as you age. When you do get sick immediately visit your doctor. I live in the west and am most attuned with western medical practices. Those are the places I would go to first, but I would not discount healing meditations and emotional and psychological healing work. All of it together will help I think. Miracles? They are hard to come by I think. Instant ones anyway. And, most important are your own life lessons. It could very well be that the best way for a person to learn XYZ is for them to experience a horribly debilitating illness. Some of this you can control. Some of this you can moderate, but some of it is written in the stars.

Here's a funny story for you. In the early days when I'd just started channeling I asked my guide Seth if he'd ever seen an alien. He didn't say anything for a few seconds and then he said to me, "Who do you think you've been talking to all this time?" I was really shocked and then I got to thinking about it. Seth was not of this earth so he would qualify as being an extra terrestrial being.

Funny what happens when you change your point of view.

Out of Body Flying

Here's a question I got in the email today: Sometimes this frightens me but I quite literally feel like I am flying. I would like to cultivate this ability, but have no clue how to do it. Any suggestions?

And, my answer: Baring any inner-ear disorder I'm assuming you mean flying while you are lying down, meditating or asleep. These episodes are called OBE's. Out of Body Experiencies. Here's an easy way to have one:

It might take a few times to practice or, since it seems like you're already halfway there it might happen the first time for you.

When you are quiet and in a place where you will not be disturbed, with the lights off and in the darkness lay back in a reclining chair, on a sofa or even on your bed. Now, imagine, with your eyes closed that you are moving the toes on your foot. But, don't move them. Just in your mind pretend that you are wiggling your toes. Stop and be quiet again.

Now your foot. Move it in your mind's eye, but don't actually move it. Now, your whole leg. Move it just a centimeter in your mind's eye. But, don't actually, physically move it.

Now, in your mind's eye swing your leg off of the bed, or the chair or the sofa. Let it swing down and touch the floor if you are near enough. But, don't really move it.

Now, bring the other foot down and swing up so you are now sitting up on the sofa, the chair or your bed. Except, you're really still lying down. But, in your mind's eye you have swung your legs around and are sitting up.

Open your eyes in your mind's eye (keep your physical eyes shut) and look at the familiar room around you. Get up and begin walking to the other end of your place. Walk down the hallway. Or, walk into the kitchen. You are safe. This is your place. Everybody is asleep or gone and you aren't going to be bothered by anybody. It is quiet. It is safe and you are only walking around your own place.

Next step is to open the front door.

Walk through the front door to the outside. If you live in an apartment building you're going to need to navigate the steps and then go to the outside, but somehow you want to, still in your mind's eye, move to the outside.

Next step is to take off. Just jump up and fly. Circle around your place. Stay low enough to the ground that you can see the street lights, the sidewalks and the streets. It's your neighborhood. You know where you are. You aren't going to get lost.

Now, look behind you. Do you see a sort of silvery cord that is attaching your flying around astral body to where your physical body still lies on the sofa? See, you're not going to get lost.

Have fun. Fly around some more. Practice zooming and zipping and soaring. When you are done just return to your body. Generally it happens pretty quick. You just think about it and Booop, you've back in body again.

No way can you get separated from yourself. No way can you get lost so don't let anybody scare you. I even took a trip from where we are in California to my sister's kitchen in Washington state in the blink of an eye. Pretty terrific and what a way to save on air fare!

Have fun.

A Knot In Her Stomach

This is a question that came to me via email today:

I was wondering if you could help me to understand this feeling that I get when something bad is going to happen. I get this sharp pain in my stomach that gets worse as it gets closer to what is going to happen. The problem is that I never know who, where, when,or how. I just get this general feeling like there is going to be a car accident. However, I noticed that when I was little they were more detailed but over the years with everyone telling me that I am crazy or that I am lying I have seemed to lose that strong feeling. So my question for you is what is that feeling and what can I do to be able to understand it better to help the people around me? I do know that this is a good thing and I am not afraid of it any more. And I do know that it s real and I am not crazy!!!! If there is anything that you can do to help I would greatly appreciate it.

My answer:

As people get older they also mature. As you have matured it isn't so much getting used to people calling you a liar or calling you crazy that has eased the stomach pains, but you maturing and not being afraid of every little thing.

Understand that you cannot stop all bad things from happening. That's life. So, why are you being warned of them? Maybe the end result is not that you be a harbinger of doom but more that you are a sensitive open to information from other sources.

When I first began to do past life regressions the predominant things I kept seeing was me dying. I asked the guides why this was. I was getting tired of seeing myself dangling from a hang man's noose or blown up on a battle field. They told me there is a great deal of energy associated with death bed events. They said for me to remember that people have happy moments in their lives too and the next time I go into a past life regression I should bear that in mind and ask to see a happier moment from one of my other lifetimes.

It worked.

So, what you've been picking up on are the events that have a lot of negative energy associated with them.

What you can do is to become more sensitive. The best way to do this is to heal yourself emotionally and psychologically. I'm not saying you are crazy. I'm saying everybody the world over can pay attention to their own spiritual and psychological growth. We've all got neuroses that we learn to cope with and move with through our lifetimes. Everybody knows not to ask Marsha to a big party because she just doesn't like crowds. Well, guess what? Marsha can use with some psychological work to figure that one out. Or, just not go to big parties for the rest of her life.

You as a sensitive are being hit with more than the normal person.

What can you do with this talent? Well, if you ease up on the horrible things happening and become more open to what's going on in a person's life I think you'd make a terrific psychic reader. But, you'd need to stop being afraid. When you are no longer afraid you are going to be able to be open to other significant events in people's lives than just the huge roller coaster things that really don't matter anyway. Like the guides told me once if you're supposed to be in the middle of an earthquake your higher self will arrange that you be there. These are your lessons and you can't take them away.

Actually, I think that is terrific to have a signal from your body about these events. Not being afraid is going to ease that pain to a clenching that will as the years go by just be a really dandy signal for you to use to know that you are correct about something going on. Try taking it to Las Vegas and see if it works there too!

A Question About Dreams

Here's a question I received via email:

If I dream about people I don't know, does that mean I used to know them long time ago? Why do I dream of other peoples pets?

My answer:
Dreams fulfill all sorts of needs for people. Basically and most importantly they are a way for the person to process their own stuff. So, even when you think a dream might be of others or prophetic in some way look first to see if there isn't some meaning for you personally in the dream.

After you have examined whether a dream is a personal message for you and decided that it was not then go after the idea that maybe these are folks who are visiting you or who you knew from long ago.

So, yes, it can happen that you are dreaming of people you knew in other lifetimes. It can also happen that you are exploring connections you have (everybody has them) with folks you don't personally know who with you are working on some sort of lifelong project. In the Michael teachings they explain that we do have these connections. They've told me that the person I am working with is a female presently living in China. I don't know her personally. Could be she and I get together occasionally in dreams to compare notes. Who knows? It sounds logical to me.

My advice would be since you have expressed an interest in your dreams is to begin keeping a dream journal. Keep a little notepad beside your bedside and before you go to bed promise yourself that you are going to awaken after your dreams and record a bit of them. What you record is nothing more than a couple of words. No detailed explanations. It is in the morning when you fill in the gaps. Those three words you recorded at 3 am will be enough to remind you what the dream was about. And, not spending a whole lot of time doing this at 3 am will ensure that you're not going to awaken anybody who is sharing your bed and you are not going to rouse yourself so much that you can't go back to sleep easily. Maybe keep a little book light next to the bed so you don't have to even turn on the bigger bedside light.

It might also take a week of the promising bit before you actually begin to awaken after your dreams to do the recording. I know with me that's what happens.

So, once you are in the practice of keeping a dream journal you might also notice that you're actually recording more than one dream a night. Good.

And, the next step would be to read, "Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LeBerge. It didn't take me until I was just half way through reading the book myself when I began having lucid dreams. That is like going from riding the merry-go-round to flying along on a roller coaster. Big difference and a fantastic dream for sure.

Think Yourself Thin

Here's a question I got in my email today.

Question: I would like to know if exercise is truly required by the body. If our thoughts create our reality, why can't I just "think" myself thin?

My Answer: Yes, you can think yourself thin. A friend of mine is a psychotherapist and he is a firm believer of affirmations. He has told me on many occasions that if you begin with an affirmation like, "I notice my food behaviours" said 200 or more times a day that you can actually begin the process of losing weight. You can check out what he's written at: http://www.weight-dieting.org/brain.htm

In Answer to Crystal's Question

Crystal, a reader, asked a question in one of the comments to my entry of, "Becoming Psychic". My answer got too long so I figured I'd just post it here:

Here's a part of her question: Because of our free will, when you do talk with a psychic, can't the time line be changed on any event that hasn't happened? Does that make any sense? Say you'll meet whoever in one year. Or you'll move in 2 months.(This from a psychic.) Can't our free will affect that? I do believe in the psychic ability and I love to read about it as well. But I was just wondering about it and thought i'd ask someone who knew.

Hi Crystal. Thanks for asking. In answer to your question about times offered up during psychic readings, I think time would be a fluid sort of thing. It might happen that in the two months given to meet someone the meeting was actually in line at a grocery store, just a brief and passing thing, and the real meeting is going to be six months down the road. You didn’t notice the first one, but when the second one comes you definitely notice it.

Also, the idea of moving to a different place. So, physically moving satisfies something for you. So, might moving something deep within your heart. It's like you could really be happy anywhere. You're not there now, but imagine if you could be happy living in a dump or you could be happy living in a cute little cottage. It's your choice. If the psychic sees you moving in two months maybe what they are seeing is you finally moving through some psychological crap to a place where you are not unhappy anymore living in your little dump. What before irritated the crap out of you. You hated the drapes. You hated the paint on the walls. You hated the neighbors. You hated everything about the place. Now? You're in a better place in your head and heart where the same crappy little dump doesn't look so bad anymore. Now you like it. You didn't move physically. You moved in your head and heart. Saves on first and last.

I believe what a psychic sees in the future would be possible events. Of the one seen there could be six others that might, instead, come to pass. Each one of those six different possible events could be the one you need to satisfy the lesson being learned. And, your free will always overrides everything said.

Also, it might happen that for whatever reason you are meeting this person in two months maybe you have satisfied the requirements to meet that person already. Maybe you did the lesson that person is there to teach you and there is no need anymore for you to meet. That’s a possibility too.

Think of it this way. Here you are newly born into the world. You’ve come armed with a list of things to do during that lifetime. You decided to do these things when you were disincarnate and in Heaven. You had the help of guides and spiritual leaders to assist you. It was a sort of a committee action with you at the helm. So, here you are in human body now with a plan.

Except, you’re also enjoying being human. Being human brings free will. And, you can say no if you want to. Saying no to one or any of the things on your list is not going to disqualify you from the race. It merely moves the item onto the next list for the next lifetime. It might also be harder to accomplish during that lifetime.

So, here you’ve got “A” to do. There isn’t just one way to do, “A”. There could be 16 different ways to do, “A”. You could do, "A" slowly, nibbling away at it over the course of 10 years. Or, you could do, “A” fast. You could do a little bit of, “A” and have the rest of it hanging over for next lifetime.

But, somewhere along the line you’re going to do, “A”. And, many times one lifetime just isn’t long enough to learn about those things on our list. Maybe the idea is to learn about compassion. To fully explore the subject of compassion you really need to learn about it from both the receiver’s end and the giver’s end. Do one in one lifetime and the other in another, maybe. It’s just too big a subject.

And, I also believe that when you get into the mode of higher self, that higher self seems to think the most unimportant to us details are really important. I think our higher selves like to look at everything. Everything is important. I think. It’s like slapping paint onto a canvas and calling it a picture or spending six months painting that picture, waiting for the light, drawing preliminary drawings, really getting into the picture.

Also, I think what happens during a psychic reading when they tell you that something is going to happen within a certain timeframe, just knowing about it alters it. It’s like the idea that the experimenter changes the experiment by having expectations of the outcome. Anyway, suddenly you’re so on edge waiting for something to happen that you affect it and it doesn’t happen. Somehow. These are all conjectures on my part. I don’t know for sure. I’m just guessing. But, I can remember getting the psychic readings and wondering why things didn’t happen.

The best way to move through all of this? I think trying to figure out what your higher self has in mind for things to do this lifetime might be of interest. And, how to do that?

One step? Deal with your psychological issues. Just deal with them. If you’re stuck somewhere get some help. Don’t let the issues last for years. The better the place you are in psychologically the quicker and more effectively you’re going to be able to address your list of things to do this lifetime. And, I believe your quality of life is going to improve dramatically. It doesn’t take a whole lot of time and effort to enjoy a boat load of rewards with this step.

Another step? Don’t be afraid. Fear steps in and halts progress towards all sorts of goals.

So, the long way around to answer part of your question about times given in psychic readings. Yes, you have free will and can affect them.

An E-mail I Got

Here's an e-mail I got this morning:

Would you happen to know how I am supposed to deal with the emotional complications (feeling of their pain and information transference, among other things) when they start, well um,... I'm sorry, I really cannot put into words how they communicate through me, I don't see things or hear things I just know what it is that I'm supposed to know, it is random and occurring much more frequently. It gets much more complicated and every time they... I break down into tears because not only do I understand what I am supposed to know but I feel their anguish or pain in many different aspects. Oh, and another thing, how am I supposed to explain these and many other occurrences to any one without people thinking I am crazy including TRULY prophetic dreams, from the ({tsunami years ago} to the recent earthquakes. I am not crazy or a schizoid... please advise if possible.Thank You.

And, my answer:

Opening to psychic stuff is really unnerving. It just is. And, it will eventually stop being so uncomfortable for you. Either it will calm down and you will be able to get the same info with far fewer blasts to the head from the old mallet Spirit wields or you will just get used to it and it will continue at the same intensity but you will not break down when it happens. Either or. Will it stop? It might. Like what did I do? Well, I still tear up when I'm talking to the dearly deceased sometimes, but I also know just from general information I've gotten from the guides that everybody, without exception, who has passed over is okay. So, the info I'm getting is the same but I can just deal with it better.

One thing that is definitely happening with you and happens to everybody without exception with opening to psychic experiences is that your own psychological growth buttons are going to be pushed. Will you need a therapist to help you make your way through it all? Maybe. Maybe not. My own personal feeling is that no matter what psychic phenomena you are presently experiencing you are not crazy and you should go see a therapist for a few times to straighten your psychological butt out a little bit. Not totally. Nobody can (I think) completely straighten their psyche out completely, but you can certainly tweak a few things. It's what makes us human. We were all hurt as children. I don't care who you are. I don't care how happy your life has been. There are these weenie and sometimes larger than weenie psychological hurts we all carry around. You can go for years without it hurting or bothering you but, one day...the day you open to psychic stuff it's all there for you to deal with. The quicker you do so the more fulfilling your new psychic life is going to be.

How do you find a sympathetic therapist? A therapist who isn't going to say you are crazy for what you feel as a psychic? Find a number in the phone book or on the internet for somebody who is local. Call and ask them. You might try looking for a transpersonal therapist. Just tell the truth and say, "Hey, I've recently been experiencing psychic phenomena. I've been having prophetic dreams. I think I'm an empath where I feel the emotions coming in from the other side and it's really overwhelming. Are you open to people with psychic abilities and can I come talk to you for a few appointments?"

As far as how are you supposed to explain your psychic experiences to all and sundry? Don't do it. Really, I'm not kidding. The best way to get a whole lot of negative feedback is to go blabbing around about what you are feeling to everybody you know. They will stop talking to you. They will look at you funny. They will tell your mother. The family will have secret conferences about you and how you have suddenly gone nuts. Just don't talk about this stuff to everybody you know. Instead, speak of it only to people who appear to be open to the idea of this psychic stuff. The worst thing I think you can do for yourself (and I speak from experience) is to be flung into a horrible depression because all the people you care about deeply don't believe you are really having these wonderful psychic experiences. Instead, go hang out with other psychics for awhile. There's a wonderful group of them at Spirit and Soul. Their url is: http://spirit-and-soul.com/ They have great chats and classes and you can practice being psychic there.

I hope this helps you. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to use your question and my answer in my blog. It's just a terrific question you asked. I know about the information transference....it's telepathic. It just happens...boom, you know. Play with it. Ask your guide to help you with it. Ask them to tell you slowly about stuff. Use automatic writing to see how that's like. Explore all the different ways to communicate with the other side. Practice lucid dreaming. You can't change the future with the prophetic dreams. And, you can't feel responsible for them either. It just is. It's like people who get barometric headaches and know rain is coming in 3 days' time. Are they responsible for the storm? No. They just know it is coming and don't plan a picnic.
